Education & Workforce Development
Our Schools are outstanding! Coffee county has eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools. Coffee County High School's extensive vocational curriculum prepares our students for the work force. Approximately 500 students graduate from Coffee County high schools each year.
We have ample offerings for higher learning in this area. Institutes include :
University of the South at Sewanee is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college that has produced the most Rhodes Scholars per capita in the USA (25)
University of Tennessee Space Institute is graduate study institution with research in engineering, mathematics, physics and aviation offers Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy
Middle Tennessee State University is the oldest and largest public university in Middle Tennessee. It is the destination of choice for Tennessee undergraduates while expanding its reach nationally and internationally through signature programs and select masters and doctoral programs.
Motlow State Community College is a public, multi-campus college offering certificates, associate degrees, and flexible learning pathways. Motlow strives to develop new ways to work together to train the workforce in Middle Tennessee as exampled by their Mechatronics program.
